Now, with the introduction of Nadakacheri online portal you can easily apply for these certificates online. It’s quick and easy, no need to visit the office. The process is simple and smooth from start to finish. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you apply online.

Go to the official Nadakacheri 5.0 Public Login page.
Enter your mobile number and click on Get OTP.
Once you receive the OTP, type OTP in the box and click to log in.

Citizen Dashboard

After login, you will be taken to the Citizen Dashboard.
Click on a new request and select the service (certificate) you want to apply for.

Choose Certificate Type

Select the service or certificate (for example, Income Certificate) you want to apply for from the given options.
After choosing the next step is to fill the online form on the screen for the chosen certificate.
Click proceed and complete the application form.

Ration Card or Aadhaar Authentication

You will be asked if you have a Ration Card:

If yes, enter your ration card number and click proceed.
You’ll see the list of your family members from the list select the applicant’s name.
If No, choose no and click proceed.
You’ll then be asked to verify your Aadhaar Number using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Fill in Personal Details

Now enter your personal information, such as:

Father’s / Husband’s Name
Complete Address (with Pin code)

Verify your mobile number and email address by clicking on send OTP button.
Enter the OTP to verify both your phone number and email address.
Once both are verified, click next.

Your files are in PDF format as only PDF format is accepted.
Images must be in PNG or JPG format.

E-Sign Using Aadhaar

You’ll now see a preview of your application.

Nadakacheri Login Problems and Fixes (ಲಾಗಿನ್ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ)

Login uses only your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and an OTP. Most login problems come from the wrong number, a slow network or an old session.

OTP not coming: Check that the number is the one linked to Aadhaar. Press Resend once and wait. Check your spam SMS folder and your signal. If it still does not come, update the mobile number at an Aadhaar centre and try again.
Number not accepted: Type the 10-digit number only. Do not add +91 or a zero.
Already logged in message: An old session is still open, or you are on a shared computer. Use your own phone or clear the browser data and try again.
Page stuck after OTP: Do not refresh the page while the OTP box is open. Wait for the page to load.
Language: You can choose Kannada or English on the portal before you log in.
Cyber cafe or shared phone: The OTP goes to the SIM linked to Aadhaar. A cyber cafe cannot receive a code sent to your SIM, so use your own phone.
Safety: Never tell the OTP to anyone who calls you. The portal sends the code and no officer needs it from you.

Tips Before You Submit Your Nadakacheri Application (ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲು)

Caste, income and residence are separate services. Choose the exact one your office, college or scholarship form asks for.
Some menus show a combined caste and income service. A combined certificate is not the same document as two separate certificates, so pick the one that was asked for.
Open only one request at a time. Do not start a second request until the first e-sign and payment are finished or confirmed as failed.
If your ration card does not match your name, do not pick a wrong family member. Choose the Aadhaar option instead.
Copy your name, father name and address exactly as they appear on Aadhaar and the ration card. A missing letter is a common reason for rejection.
Make each document a real PDF with the scan-to-PDF option on your phone. A photo renamed as a PDF is often rejected.
Stay inside the size limit written on the upload screen. If a file is rejected, compress it and upload it again.
Wait for the success message after the Aadhaar e-sign. If you close the window early, the file stays in draft.
Pay the exact amount on the QR or payment page, then save the acknowledgement PDF and a screenshot.
The form usually cannot be edited after the RD number is generated. Treat that file as final.

Nadakacheri Due Date Passed? Use Sakala (ಸಕಾಲ)

Sakala is the Karnataka Guarantee of Services to Citizens Act, 2011. Your acknowledgement slip shows the date by which the service is due. Use that date, not a number of days from a blog.

If the service is late, or the file was rejected and you disagree, you can appeal to the competent officer.
An appeal against a decision should be filed within 30 days of that decision.
You need your RD number to file the appeal.
Do not rely on tables of 7, 15 or 21 days from blogs. The date on your own slip is the one that counts.
The Sakala FAQ lists compensation of ₹20 for each day of delay, up to ₹500 for one application.

On Nadakacheri, CV means Certificate Verification. It does not mean a resume. A college or employer uses the official CV page to confirm that a certificate is real, using the RD number or certificate number. To apply offline, go to the Nadakacheri or AJSK centre in your taluk office compound, or to your hobli centre. The Ballari district page lists the taluk office compound and the respective hobli centres as the places for these services.
Some district websites have their own Nadakacheri page, for example Ballari and Bagalkot.
The Kalaburagi division districts are the Kalyana Karnataka region (earlier Hyderabad-Karnataka). People there often need the HK region eligibility and residence certificates from the services list above.

Using Your Nadakacheri RD Number for KCET and College Admission

Many students apply for a caste or income certificate only because an admission form asks for it. The form usually asks for the RD number printed on the certificate, so the officer can verify it online.

For KCET 2026, news sites reported that KEA asked candidates to enter the RD number of the caste certificate in the online application. The same reports say a missing or wrong RD number can lead to a rejected reservation claim.
The income certificate RD number is also entered where the form asks for income details or a fee exemption.
News sites also reported that SC candidates needed a new RD number for KCET 2026 and that older certificates were not accepted. We could not read the KEA notice itself, so check the current KEA notification before you apply.
Copy the RD number exactly from the acknowledgement slip or the certificate. Do not add spaces.
Apply early. A file can wait with the Village Accountant or Revenue Inspector, and a late file can miss a counselling date.

Nadakacheri vs Seva Sindhu: Which Portal Should You Use?

Karnataka has more than one online route for citizen services, and people often mix them up. Nadakacheri is the Revenue Department route for certificates and pensions. Seva Sindhu is a separate state services portal.

Use Nadakacheri for the services in the list on this page, such as caste, income and residence certificates.
Seva Sindhu uses a different login. One guide reports that it asks for DigiLocker and Aadhaar OTP verification, while Nadakacheri needs only a mobile number and OTP.
Some services may appear on both portals. Open the service name on the portal you plan to use and check that it is listed there.
Never mix the two. An RD number from Nadakacheri is searched on the Nadakacheri status page, not in Seva Sindhu.

If you have lost your certificate and need to reprint or download it again then, log in to your Nadakacheri account, click on the print certificate then enter your RD Number to download or reprint your document. To reprint or to download your certificate again you would have to pay ₹40 reprint fee.

Every application receives a unique RD Number which is also known as acknowledgment number. You can use it to track, verify, or download your certificate later.
